Dogwood Arts Festival | April 26th – 29th, 2019
The Dogwood Arts Festival is one of Knoxville’s longest standing festivals and has been bringing art to downtown Knoxville since 1961. The three-day festival features a fine art market, live music, artist demonstrations, and hands-on activities for both kids and adults.

Rossini Festival | April 13th, 2019
Downtown Knoxville is transformed into a European-style street fair for a day in April to celebrate performing arts, Italian culture, and community. Enjoy 11 hours of genre-spanning performances on multiple stages throughout downtown. Bring the kids by to catch a few performances and grab a bite to eat at one of the many food vendors! The Rossini Festival is hosted by the Knoxville Opera.

Zoo Knoxville’s Night Safaris | Multiple Dates
We all know that Zoo Knoxville is a great place for the whole family. One of their best kept secrets is that they offer once a month night safaris! Guest are taken on an after-hours tour of the zoo to see what happens with the animals after the sun goes down! EarthFest is Knoxville’s annual celebration of all things green. The festival provides family-friendly environmental education, an opportunity to support the local sustainable vendors and showcase environmental leadership, as well as demonstrate low- to zero-waste principles. 2019 is EarthFest’s 20th anniversary, so the theme is 20/20 Vision – focusing on the past 20 years of sustainability in the area, as well as the vision for the next 20 years! It’s never too early to learn about helping out the environment!

The Secret City Festival is a great family-friendly event in neighboring Oak Ridge. The two day festival focuses on music, food, history, science, and much more! There’s so much history surrounding Oak Ridge, that if your family is interested in history or science, they’ll definitely enjoy this festival. Make sure to explore the new American Museum of Science and Energy, which is right next door to the festival.
